Andrea, the proprietor of this Hotel was very very helpful especially over the complications I had with my flight out of Ushuaia. There was a lot of problems with flights during my stay in this great city but Andrea, with her quiet assured efficency, was always there to help and make phonecalls for all the guests having trouble. The Hotel is extremely comfotable with the best bed and shower I have had on my travels in South America. The breakfast was huge with freshly baked croissants and freshly squeezed orange juice each morning as well as a huge array of cakes etc. After a day of skiing,m trekking or sailing onteh beagle Channel, Hosteria Les Eclaireurs is a great place to come home to.

Excellent staff. Invited me to stay all day, even though check out was at 10am. Some of the staff don't speak English, but they still managed to communicate very well with me, a guest who speaks little spanish. Very, very clean. Well decorated and cozy. Great, diverse breakfast from 8-10 (maybe longer in the summer). Jacuzzi bath tub was great at the end of a long day. Lovely bedding. Well-heated. Cable tv with many English language movies. I thought for some reason (perhaps the low price) that I was booking something more like a hostel and what I got was a 4 star hotel (without a restaurant). Excellent value for the money!!
The only complaint is the location, which would not be a problem in the summer time, but there was wet snow when I visited in the fall, which made the 20 minute walk to town cold with wet feet. That said, town was only about a $5-6 us dollar cab ride away and the staff were helpful with calling a cab.

The hotel is situated on the outskirts with numerous trails within easy access. the staff is friendly and breakfast is enjoyable with excellent coffee. the rooms are comfortable and clean, with an ample-size bathroom. the hotel offers free Wi-Fi throughout the property.
The prices are a little high considering the amenities provided.

My room was very comfortable, and clean. Whirlpool tub a big plus after skiing. Staff very accomodating, went out of their way to make sure everything went smoothly with my stay. Andrea, the owner/host spoke excellent English. Breakfast was very good!

I really enjoyed my stay at Les Eclaireurs, and what I liked the best was how Andrea (the hotel's manager) treats her guests. She is a wealth of knowledge and most helpful. She makes sure that you feel at home!!
Nothing. I liked everything. The only thing to mention is that the hotel is not in the center of town, but is a nice walk and much nicer than other options in the center.

Lovely breakfast spread with fresh orange juice, cakes and tarts. Rooms were cosy and warm. Location was convenient and only a short taxi ride to town.
Inconsistent water temperature in the shower made it frustrating. Noises from doors and other guests were disturbing at times.

Every thing was good , except for the location . At the site they said that is in central position, very close from the restaurants area ,but, its not true. That´s about 30 minutes waking. The reception was very frendly. Lucia

This hotel was a great place to come home to after a long day of hiking. Its location in the centre of the city made it easy to access transportation and explore this city. The cleanliness was superb, and the hotel facilities were excellent, including the parking. The breakfast was delicious, and the staff were very friendly and helpful.
Don't have any issues at all.

Very welcoming staff. Attractive, clean and spacious rooms. I stayed twice and had an excellent experience both times. The breakfast served was delicious and generous. I would recommend this hotel to anyone, budget traveller or not. A bit of a hike to town but i felt the exercise did me good and it was also a good way to see more of Ushuaia. Many visitors don{t seem to venture further than the shopping strip but by walking the 20 min to the hotel i saw more of this town.

The owner, Andrea, and the rest of her staff were very welcoming and helpful. The hotel was peaceful and had a very homely atmosphere. We booked for three nights but stayed for five. No better recommendation!

The room had great amenities like satellite TV and the internet was fast. It was also well heated and the bathroom was great. Plus, the breakfast was decent.
The hotel location was a bit far from the main street in town, but there was a take-out pasta place nearby. the water in the shower tended to go cold during the morning rush.

The staff were helpful, attentive and freindly. The rooms were good, clean and warm and secure. The location was further out of the centre than I had planned but taxis were easy to get and the charges were metered. Overall good value for money
Apart from the distance from the town centre I have no complaints abou the hotel

The staff was exceptional! Very helpful and informative. And the breakfast were served with cheer!
This is a big issue: the hot water is insufficient for the use of the jacuzzi tub (our reason for schoosing this hotel). We were quite disappointed. I even took a cold shower one of the nights, which at 55 degrees lattitude, is no picnic.
